- Territorial: The defendant must live in the City of Mason or Deerfield Township, have his place of business in the City of Mason or Deerfield Township, or the transaction has taken place in the City of Mason or Deerfield Township.
- Monetary: The action must be for money only and not to exceed $3,000.00 on plaintiff's complaint or $3,000.00 on defendant's counterclaim
- Types of Cases: The Small Claims Division handles all types of cases involving amounts less than $3,000.00. These include landlord-tenant, unpaid accounts, defective merchandise, minor traffic accident repair costs, overcharge of services, and minor property damages.
