As long as the violation is not mandated by codified statute as a must appear violation or the officer citing the defendant does not indicate that the defendant must appear by checking the “must appear” box on the citation then the new schedule of fines, not to be confused with the bond schedule, is as follows:

Speed, as per ORC §4511.21 or any local ordinance

Up to 10 MPH over limit $105.00
11-20 MPH over limit $130.00
21-30 MPH over limit $165.00
Over 31 MPH over limit $215.00

School zone violations if the speed is 15 mph or less over the 20 MPH limit $110.00. Any school zone violation more than 15 MPH over 20 MPH limit must appear.

ORC § 4511.20, 4511.201, 4511.81 A-D, 4511.82, 4513.36, 5728.02, and 5728.04 $150.00

Seat belt driver $81.00
Seat Belt Passenger $71.00

All other traffic citations that can be paid out will be $110.00

All minor misdemeanor charges that do not require a court appearance $225.00.

All above fees include court costs, the fee for the “Reparation Rotary Fund” as required by ORC §2743.70 and the amount which is payable to the State of Ohio as required by the ORC.

...Violators may pay, by mail or in person, the fines listed above for the type of offense listed above they are charged with within 5 business days or 168 hours of the date of the citation. The citation must be signed in the appropriate place. Payments received or post marked after the 5 business day will be accepted only if the amount you owe will increase by $40.00. No matter when you pay, you must provide proof of insurance. Such proof must be in the form of a photocopy of you proof of insurance card issued by your insurance company show you as being covered by the policy. Failure to pay at anytime means you must show on the date specified in Court.
